Areas of practice:

Patent law, in particular expert opinions and litigation work in patent infringement and invalidity cases, drafting and prosecution of patent applications and supplementary protection certificates, opposition and appeal procedures. Counseling of clients in patent matters.

Career & experience:

Study of chemistry and PhD in organometallic chemistry, both at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), Zurich. Several years of practical experience in analytical chemistry, materials and surface analysis. Patent attorney since 1990, European patent attorney since 1994.

Patent litigation and prosecution as well as expert opinions, especially in the fields of chemistry, materials, pharmacy, foodstuffs and genetic engineering.

Elected as one of the "Leading Patent Law Practitioners" of Switzerland by the Patent Law Expert Guide 2009 of the Legal Media Group, London.
