Studies of electrical engineering at the Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany, and at the University of Sussex, UK. PhD in Automatic Control from the Luleå University of Technology, Sweden, visiting academic at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, and at the University of Newcastle, Australia. Employed in research and development in automobile industry. Since fall 2000 patent attorney trainee in industry and private practice, at the German Patent and Trademark Office, the German Federal Patent Court and the District Court of Mannheim. Admitted as European Patent Attorney in 2004. Admitted as German Patent Attorney in 2006. Joined E. Blum & Co. AG in spring 2006.
